I also agree that an apology from the PNC is long overdue and it is to their detriment that they refuse to do so for they will never regain power without first winning the souls of Guyanese.

Having said the above, we must also not turn a blind eye to the corrupt deeds of the PPP. To do so will be hypocritical. A change in leadership is desperately needed - no question about that. The question is how soon can we realize this change? 2011 is a far way off and much more irreparable damage can occur. Notice Jagdeo's latest mantra "I don't care". He is like a bull being led to the slaughter house. He is shitting all our the place.

Our lives are finite. We cannot wait forever to see GY take its rightful place among its peers.
What is the solution? My view is that either Moses or Ralph need to assume control asap. There is no silver bullet to GY's woes but to continue on the current path is self defeating. We need mature leadership.

To analyse how the PPP performed in the last sixteen years, we have to break down the party's rule according to its various Presidents: Cheddi, Janet and Jagdeo. Under each of these we can distinguish positives from negatives. If in the end the sum total of the negatives outweight the positives, then the party failed. If the positives outweigh the negatives, then the party succeeded.

During Cheddi's time I can't reacll having much, if anything, to complain about. Five years were too short a time to make a constructive assessment. However, the manner in which he left the party scrambling to find his replacement after he died, exposed him as a poor leader. In fact, the state of the country under Jagdeo is proof Jagan did not pay attention to leadership succession.

Now, as for Jant and Jagdeo, they are two peas in a pod. Like bamsie and posie. They probably should get married at the party's August Congress. Talk about two left side feet walking, see these two.

Mitwah,

Wow! I like this! It would fit in nicely and neatly with the President's performance. And you should be right there standing next to him holding the placard over his head! But don't let him be wearing a T-shirt with his own slogan: I'm with stupid! Ah-aaahhh! You don't want that!

Couple that with the mentality of the people and the uncivil behaviour of the PPP and you have a clear picture of why the PPP has not been able to overcome these problems . The issue with the PPP is leadership , poor , ineffective , inefficient leadership . The entire PPP CC need to die tomorrow for the party to come clean your frustration is understood but this fancy idea is also wrong.
regarding the leadership.... shouldn't the leader be one from among the people ?
