Just one example.
Burnham legislated a rigged constitution that gave him supreme power, something which every political party, right thinking and law abiding citizens objected to. As soon as Cheddie came into office he declared that nothing is wrong with the constitution, today the rest is history for Jagdeo still have the same power as the dictator Burnham. Another example, Burnham rigged the 1973 elections robbing Cheddie and the PPP big time. Cheddie supporters were killed because Cheddie told them to guard the ballot boxes with their lives. Cheddie rightfully stayed away from Parliament after the elections however Castro visited Guyana in late 73 and the next thing bam Jagan decided to offer critical support to Burnham and the PNC WITHIN THE NEXT TWO YRS JAGAN WAS NOT ONLY GIVING CRITCAL SUPPORT HE WAS 10000% with Burnham to take away all the foriegn owned proffit making Corporations that was emplyoing thousands and bringing in great revenue for Guyana. Jagan did not care for his supporters his real agenda was to see that communism and socialism succeeded, at all cost. |

Jagan is the source of the issues facing Guyana under the PPP. He and his crew are the biggest let-down. Fighting for workers rights is different than having to run the show. When things go wrong fighting for workers rights, you can always blame it on someone else. |

Yes he did.He replaced the head of GEC with Rambo Gaskin.Do not forget the diplomatic corp. The new bauxite company continued to be managed by many of the existing senior managers of Demba. Haslyn Parris was part of the takeover talks joined the company,however Pat Thompson remained head of the company. |

Whether or not the PPP is the cause of Indians demise is questionable. However, they have always won Free and Fair Elections. The few of us in NA are not going to decide for the 400 thousand Indians in Guyana. They have to decide for themselves.

For the first time since I've been a contributor to this BB I see a person telling the truth of the way it was to the ignoramuses on this BB who have been attempting to rewrite our history.
My biggest concern is your days may be numbered Chief. This shock may be too much for the likes of the pompous nit wit DG and his likewise cohorts/followers. I hope when they are fully recovered we would be able to have meaningful discussions on this BB but then again when you go to crab dance you must expect to get mud on your feet. I need to make one change "Cheddie was not as evil as Burnham, Cheddie was more evil than Burnham" Once again many thanks Chief et al for a job well done. God help Guyana.
