Increasing numbers agree with you. Examine the turnouts in 1997 and 2001 compared to 2006 even though there were more people living in Guyana in the latter year. |

Yes, I believe that 3 standards should be met for granting the franchise.
1. Male who is the head of household 2. Member in a church of good standing. Preferably Anglican, Episcopalian, Dutch Reformed. 3. A property owner The above criteria when implemented would work great in bringing accountability to government |

my goal is to impose that criterium on the whole population of Guyana. Whether this leaves only 10% of the population eligible to vote and to take up position in civil office so be it. The criterium I laid out is best suited to keep government accountable and limited, hence keeping the people free and at liberty.

And the IG approach is that Government is not important at all and best left to the Maharaja and his henchmen to run as a private family business in any manner of their choosing so long as they leh abbe alone fuh plant rice and cut cane. |

I was reading livinguyana blogspot (a qc classmate of mind runs the thing) and the writer recommended raising the minimum wage rate. The young people are even more clueless. Being trained with a socialist mindset they think that more socialism is the cure for Guyana's ills. |
