The function at Herman Singh's place was for Jagdeo to address the crowd. There was heckling and some people had placards. But Jagdeo did not directly mingle with the people on Atlantic Av. The organizers put him through Herman's main office and so he went through the side door. After a while the heckling stopped. Some of the hecklers went inside to listen to the meeting and behaved themselves.

Jagdeo went there in his capacity as head of state and the move to let him walk through the other entrance was made by the secret service. There is no proof that he was afraid to meet with the hecklers.
