that emancipation day and the PPP congress takes place around the same time period.
When Blacks are gathered to pay tribute to their forefathers, indians are gathered to pay tribute to a party that does not have the decency to offer citizens good goverance. The gratefulness of the PPP and its indian following have never said thank you. So on this occassion, it is only fitting the PPP tells the blacks of Guyana, " thank you for looking after the wellbeing of our forefathers. You have witnessed their punishment at Vreed-en-hoop and you have petitioned those incharge of their inhumane treatment. You have made it possible for thousands more of us to come to this land which you have helped to claim for the sea." And on this day, I will respect the deeds of your forefathers and will offer you a place of dignity as a people of this great land of Guyana and govern with one single objective that we as people vote on the merits on the men that choose to lead us. Let me hear you indian people shout out those words on emancipation morning to every black person you should see. |

The Indians were slaves themselves. The conditions that the the British put the Indians to live under were slave like conditions.
The Indians owe the the black people nothing. The blacks join the with British and CIA to punish the Indians. |

Hm.................The outpourings of a Racists Mind! Let's hear your take on the many Afro-Guyanese, or should i say, according to you, "Blacks", who will forsake the celebration of African Emancipation to be at the PPP congress along with their Indo-Guyanese Comrades. I know your response already.............they're all soup drinking, Bamsee licking, traitors to your racists revolution. |

Whenever I post, I doan normally reply. Perhaps my comments are confrontational, so I sit back read.
But in your case, I will. I suispect you sitting at Freedom House, yuh sound like a Ghost writer. I know, I used to be one for the PPP and Thunder,I sold thousands of copies. I witnessed, the PNC formation. I never requested anything from the PPP. But, I want a peaceful and democratic country and you are one of those who prevents me as a citizen to have it. I could start a movement to put an end to your strangle and fear yuh all place upon indians, but blacks first have abandon the PNC. When that happens, yuh all gravy train is ovah. Enjoy alyuh selves, when blacks realize is dey holding back de country and switch their support, dey see indians make some moves. |

Ingrate- In many cases communist leader sympatheziers were killed, unfortunately for indian in Guyana the CIA decided to punish the supporters. All those ppl were innocent and the PPP will gloat over their success-so blood on their hands. |

Seignet, we agree. Blacks have made an immense contribution to Guyana. God bless them and not only on Emancipation Day. Now what should the PNC and other blacks say to Indians on their Day?

Emancipation Day is on Friday August 1. It is a national holiday. The PPP Congress is on August 2-3. |

The other races don't count in the eyes of the PNC and PPP. That's why ppl like me don't feel part of present day Guyanese politics. We have no representation. |

You want a peaceful and democratic Guyana, yet you reside in Canada! Maybe its the shades of racism that covers your eyes that are preventing you from seeing, that under this PPP administration there's more democracy than there ever was before at any time in our history. Your attitude is typical of the statement Idi Amin used to describe Asians, "you are like Leaches, you live on the Cow, but you do not wanna feed the Cow" |
