I walk the streets of Guyana everyday and to my awareness there is no such “corruption” in Guyana the way you people are making it sound. I’m not saying that everything is good and bright but the magnitude of the corruption that you guys are implicating that Guyana has is not so. Guyana has its problem in the political arena and this transcends down to a motive of racism due to the majority of specific ethnicities being dominant in particular political parties which from time to time erupts conflicts and brings about tension.
But let us not conclude that Guyana is “corrupt” for that is misleading and does not signify the true atmosphere surrounding the few conflicts that occur.

You cannot perceive the inconsistencies that are taking place behind closed doors by walking the streets. Civil servants are the most corrupt, this is a fact known to everybody. Each household has a member who has had corrupt dealings with the civil servants one way or another. Accepting a drink from a member of the public for performing a timely task
is a form of corrupting..
