My intent was not to attack you but what I wrote is what came across from you. There is no need to put your qualifications on display for that doesn't mean a thing to me although you are correct, unless you have post-grad work (i.e. grad work done over a PhD level) from a top class school I highly doubt our qualifications are comparable and I don't say this boastfully either.

Now, you could have either substantiated your statements with proof without resorting to this.

Anyway I'm off for lunch so enjoy. I'm sure D2 will enlighten you. Smile[/QUOT

OH boy!!! madam perfection strikes again... Hope they serve crow where you are lunching; because Pink Panther gave an excellent rebuttal to to your ridiculous, convoluted, meandering! love the sliding of the PhDs etc..into the mix.

PMSing again I see…wow I am touched…a single post just to attack me! Smile Nothing of substance as usual eh?

Not that I have to explain anything to you but the PhD was added as a response to PP because he was so sure and so wrong that his academically earned degrees placed him way ahead of me. Not that you would care because all you saw was an opening to bare your fangs. You must live a pitiable life to still be hostile at me about something that occurred months ago.

Feel free to reply with some nasty comments as befits you but for now your insubstantive rants are on ignore.

Since when having a pregnant teen is a fact that you cant govern? Or will indicate that you dont have the qualities to govern? At least every person including you on this forum had a relative that were married in the teen yrs. Was that an indication that we didnt have the ability to be a parent?

Palin was a risk because she was not well know by most .... but now she is more of an asset than Biden.

What sort of nonsensical reasoning is this?

First off, does everyone now have to put a disclaimer next to their posts stating it is their opinion. I think it is pretty much accepted that posts here are the opinion of the poster and not of someone else…it is very clear…moving on…

Let’s not assume sweeping generalizations here. This woman is an advocate for abstinence in schools. Now you tell me what sort of example does she set when she preaches for abstinence and her teen daughter is pregnant out of wedlock? Is it do as I say and not as I do?

You are confused...we are not discussing teenage marriage here we are discussing out of wedlock teenage pregnancy! Even Cindy McCain has said that she taught her children about these issues at home.

How is Palin more of an asset? The only reason she is more of an asset is that if Obama or Biden says anything against her they will be viewed as misogynistic so she and the Republicans are now using this as a free pass to attack him and his qualifications without impunity. Did you know she originally supported funding the Bridge to nowhere?

There must have been much discussion about Obama’s community organizer job prior to the speeches as it was mentioned by both her and Giuliani; they forgot to mention this was a job he had when he was very young. She's comparing herself now to Obama in his 20s.

Petal, how could you of all people condemn an out of wedlock pregnancy for a white boy? Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

You cannot have principles that you live by and when you or someone close to you mess up, in this case her daughter, you blame it on the American people saying that you are like any other American Family. That is HYPOCRISY
DO AS I SAY AND NOT AS I DO
There are also allegations her son was born eight months after she eloped with her now husband,

She also said GOD wanted us to be in IRAQ. Didn’t Bush make the same reference?

From The AP
By GENE JOHNSON, Associated Press Writer Wed Sep 3, 7:23 PM ET
ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin told ministry students at her former church that the United States sent troops to fight in the Iraq war on a "task that is from God."
In an address last June, the Republican vice presidential candidate also urged ministry students to pray for a plan to build a $30 billion natural gas pipeline in the state, calling it "God's will."

"Our national leaders are sending them out on a task that is from God," she said. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that plan is God's plan."

At least, she is going to marry the kid who got her pregnant. It's no excuse, but she didn't kill her baby as a Democrat would have done.

come on people; lighten up!! politics IS a dirty job. even 'good' politicians have to do dirty deals to keep their countries/economies running smoothly and successfully. notice, that Condi Rice is off to Libya courting people they have previously villified and denigrated.

as for candidate's personal/family life, if its not detrimental to society, or harmful to individuals, it should be kept personal. no one is perfect, and that includes everyone on GNI as well... anyone who has children, should be prepared for disappointment-it's human to err. teenagers have been getting pregnant since the beginning of time; and as a member has pointed out, there are many of us, who has relatives, or knows someone, who have gotten married(or pregnant), in their teens-somtimes very young. lighten up!
