No kidding! Did you reflect on the subject the same way Mithwa did to point finger at every black?

Where did I point my finger to every black? Many blacks in my village provided eggs, ground provisions... for the Indo victims.

On the contrary, it is very shallow and most revealing.

Even more interesting.Given all that you post and write one would never know that there were 'good blacks' in Guyana.

The focus on this thread is about the ones that behaved like savages and who committed the most barbarous, brutal, inhuman acts of rapes and murders, ethnic cleansing, that were visted upon the Indo Guyanese at Wismar in 1964.

Why should we hoist a flag on May 26th when it should be lowered?

Let us then call for an international investigation into those murders and all political violence in the 60s.That would be a great start.

First, let us refelect on the 38 hours of brutality, barbarism, and savagery on some 2000 Indo-Guyanese living in the villages of Wismar and Christianburg, and denounce the declarion of May 26th as Guyana’s Independence Day.

A humilating blow was dealt to the Indo-Guyanese community.

There is where we differ. Any death or loss of life is tragic and makes us all poorer as members of the human race.

And if you point out the atrocities committed on your kind by another race, I will never call you a racist.

Within my own race we are fighting those who think that who are supreme or superior based on the color of their skin or caste. But this is another discussion for another day.

May 26, 1964 is the focus. All Guyanese should come together and denounce the flag raising. Placing a wreath in tribute will be much more meaningful.

Owner of Son Chapman, Norman Chapman, lays wreath in tribute to the 43 victims of the tragedy, 2004.

Out of curiousity:

1. Who, thus far in this discussion, have suffered directly from the incidents at Wismar in May, 1964?

What % of indians are the perpetrators? You might say lets look and the arrest and conviction records then make a determination. Wrong. with "carib logic" all you is a single indian to be involve, he/she don't even have to victimize a black, its enough to conclude: If victims are 50/50 then the perps must be 50/50...

Incoherent babbling proving what a racist you are. If 50% of the victims of crime are blacks then oughtnt you not be equally concerned about them? No you are not. THis proves that clannishness is an inherent part of your culture.

Oh the Guyana KKK chapter is busy today.

Now racist if your parents are Indian, you are Indian, you marry ablack and your parents disown you because you married a black then they are racist and clannish.

Next time try to understand something that might be a bit complex for you before you rush out there.

Ought you not sad that mnay Indo girls who marry black men have to rely on their black mothers in law because their own mothers refuse to talk to them?

In Jan to March 67 people were slaughtered. How come you dont care about most of them?

And you think I should let you ignore the scores of blacks who were killed by Indians in 1964. No way.

Racist. BOTH Indians and blacks killed each other. Assign the blame to both groups or prove what a racist you are.

Jan to March 2008 67 people have been slaughtered. This will work out to more people than were killed in 1964 if the trend continues.

No comments on this from you.

In 1964, 400 people died in wismar alone.
44 in mahaicony and about 60 on the east Coast of Demerara.

Please find a credible source to verify that. The source quoted here said that 38 were killed in Wismar and I will note that 43 perished on teh Sun Chapman.
