Obama has already made history, as the first serious black U.S presidential candidate. So chances are great for him to become the next U.S president.
Now my question is, if he screws up, do you think he will be judged in unfair terms? Can you imagine if Bush was black, what would have happened? |

Asif, Interesting question. But remember, he already screwed up. Obama is a mainstream American politician. Capitalists comes in all colors and Obama is no different. He talks about change but he will not have the power to change, if he is elected president. The other question does he want to change anything? Many shallow minded people are caught up in the hype about him being the first black presidential candidate. This means nothing if he can't elevate the living standards of working America. |

Let me predict again::
OBAMA will win the Presidency in November. Reasons why: 1. His policy on Health care. 2. He plans to create 5 millions jobs which cannot be outsourced. 3. He organised the registration of large amount of young voters in 20 states that could have gone the republican way. 4. More and more people are turning to The Democrats to save the country from future collapse. 5. MCCain will continue the war in the Middle east rather than seeking a settlement. 6. Obama plans to invest in people who are the future. |

Say what you want to say in plain English without this circumlocutory nonsense. Obama is indeed a mainstream American political figure and that places him dead center in the middle of American liberal tradition as a defender of American hegemony, a disciple of Lockean democracy and one from whom any change will come is to be framed withing that context. Obama is not running a campaign as the first black presidential candidate with a serious chance at the presidency. He is running as an American Candidate with personal views of how changes will be engendered to best meet the needs of all Americans. |

My question is not about past dirt. Let us not forget Bush was also governor of Texas before he become prez. The question is, if Obama screw up as president, will it be viewed along the lines of how he ran his campaign or along racial lines. It all stemmed from a conversation I overheard, about Dinkins and how he ran NYC into the ground as the first black Mayor.

It easy for them. I think the US ain't ready for a woman nor a black person as Prez,they gonna put in the war mongrels yet again. I believe they feel that the country ain't gone down as low as it could and they'll try harder. |
