A Guyanese national could spend the next 25 years in jail if found guilty of the charges of grand larceny and forgery with which she is accused.

Eileen Koranteng, 51, is currently being held in lieu of $250,000 bail for allegedly swindling over half a million dollars from the Riverdale County School in the Bronx.

Prosecutors claim Koranteng used some US$508,000 to pay for two BMWs, a house upstate and her daughter's blowout Sweet 16 party at a Chelsea club. The Bronx District Attorney`s Office said money was skimmed from tuition checks, fund-raisers, donations, the bookstore and even the cafeteria at the school, where she was the bookkeeper.

She was ordered to surrender her passport during an arraignment in Bronx Supreme Court as her daughter and son, Kiran, 25, looked on and is currently in jail.

Look at you, justifying thievery, no wonder PNC was filled with thieves, top to bottom. Thievery is embedded in your psyche as a way of life.

I think he's being sarcastic to bring attention to the double standard in favor of big business.
