Today, little Malica Hercules, who was born with cranio-orbital as well as cleft lip, cleft palate deformities and cranial damage from a difficult birth during which her twin sister died, was presented with a G$100,000 (US$500) cheque by Mark Benschop of the Benschop Foundation. This donation was made possible by Mr. Odel Taitt and company of the USA.

Malica is slated to undergo a final corrective surgery (cranioplasty) which will be done in Canada.
