...it seems that Gov. Patterson is considering a tax increase for NYK'rs whose annual income is $1M and up, in order to raise at least half of the $9.5B that is needed to improve NY transportation... think Bloomy will go for it?

raise taxes. this guy is a genius. someone needs to tell this guy that a $1m isn't that much these days unless someone is living in alabama or south carolina.
if this guy wants to raise money to improve transportation he needs to add back the 8.75% on clothes for a interim of 2 years and raise the money. Let every NYer partake of the burden instead of skewing it to the rich who will eventually skew it back to poor folk. |

Why not yu tell him. Do the math and show him how stupid he is. Let him know that Boneass is one of those shining economist that Guyana is so famous for turning out. Also, tell him that with $1 mio annual income, you find it difficult to survive in that region. I'm sure he has no clue of the pain he is causing such middle income persons. |
