A LATE CUT AND PASTE
Hello All,

For those of you that have not already heard, Guyana has lost one of
its greatest forces in the movement toward peace, unity and development.
Mr Satyadeow Sawh, the Minister of Agriculture in Guyana, was
assassinated early Saturday morning in his home, along with his brother Rajpat
Rai, his sister Pulmatie Persaud and his security guard, Curtis
Robertson. His siblings were visiting from Canada to mark the one year
anniversary of their mother's passing.

Mr. Sawh is a resident of Canada who, after obtaining a BA in
Economics/Business at York University and a Certificate of Accounting and
Business at Ryerson University, went back to Guyana to serve the country's
People's Progressive Party (PPP) in 1992. His accomplishements for the
betterment of Guyana are too numerous to mention. His goal was clear and
he seeked to implement a plan of action, day in and day out, to the
development of Guyana.

At present, efforts will be organized to appeal to the Guyana Consulate
in Canada, Mr. Danny Doobay, to take every measure necessary (including
seeking Canadian assistance) to find the murderers, not for just the
sake of justice, but to prevent this from happening again as it is
suspected that these murders were politically driven. If this is the case,
this could very well occur again at the onset of the Guyana Elections.

Please be on the look out for our memos and appeals and lend support by
signing our appeals that we will send to the Consulate, on behalf of
the Caribbean-Canadian community, to voice our support and concern over
these murders and all such heinous crimes occuring in Guyana.

This has GOT TO STOP. We need to speak up now. We as Canadians need to
send a message loud and clear to Guyana to LET GO of the past. Guyana
will never, ever be able to develop if these mentalities do not crumble.
This was Mr. Sawh's vision for Guyana and we need to keep fighting his
battle, all of us, to move towards peace and the unity of all the
people of Guyana.

I will like to express my deepest sympathies to the families affected and the people of Guyana. What animals in our mist.

Despite calls from the international community and all the empty talks from the commissioner of police, I know and most of the Guyanese population knows that this crime like so many others will never be solved.
