Since leaving Guyana in the early nineteen seventies, we always wanted to give back to the community that was so tight knitted, humble yet radiant located on the West Coast of Demerara. In many ways our village has touched the lives of many in so many ways providing employment through the sugar estate, entertainment, a thriving market place, police, court and most important health care services along with a host of other businesses and places of worship for all faiths It is these humble beginnings that still bonds us all to this day. Not to mention the crucial role our mothers and fathers played in shaping the ideals and direction of our government of the days back then. Today their sacrifices has built a legacy that extends far beyond its borders. As a group in the we are dedicated to preserve those values by working voluntarily and tirelessly to put on events that helps to bind the hearts and souls of our community in the Diaspora, that give us a sense of pride and belonged ness. There is no better time to come together and celebrate our pride and accomplishment with one and other. Please support our community events by attending, your generous donations will help those left we behind a better education, who other wise may never realize the opportunity of a proper education. With your support we were able to sent eighty-five hundred dollars to repaint the entire Leonora School in 2008. Dear Members of Our Community
On behalf of LeoVision Canada we wish to thank all of you who attended, for making our annual dinner and dance last Saturday February 20th 2010 a great success. Your attendance and continuous support has shown that despite growing pains, we can once again rise towards our goal of keeping our community connected, informed and unified, while at the same time contributing in every little way towards the development of the ones we left behind in our homeland. We look forward for your support for our up coming boat cruise and picnic, dates to be announced. Sincerely John Rameshnauth Bush Bishundial Roy Lakeram Victor Kandial Prakash Chandrapal |
