My dear brothers & sisters
Assalam O Alaikum It's better late than never for I prefer to send out my little messages before the Jummah salaat however it was one of these Fridays where the weather combined with work had me bogged down. Hope everyone had a good Jummah. This Sunday over 92 million viewers will be glued to thier televisions to watch the New England Patriots take on the NY Giants in the superbowl. Fans on either sides are hoping and praying that their team shall win but at the end of the game there will be a winner and a loser . This comming Tuesday is known as super tuesday for it's primary elections in many states across the United States, at the end of the elections there will also be a winner and a loser. After these events the winners will be seen all over the media and the losers will take a back seat similarly there will be a day when all of mankind will be called to give account of our deeds and actions and hopefully none of us will be losers on that day. In a hadith it is reported that Rasoolulah(sas) was seen with his arms outstrecthed and after that he was seen retreating to his home in fear. When questioned by his companions he said the reason he was stretching his hands out is becuase he saw the beautiful fruits of Jannat(heaven) but he retreated in cold sweat to his home when he saw the puinishment of the hellfire. So my humble appeal is for all of us to strive to be winners on the day when it will be counted and the only way we can achieve that is by doing what is right and stay away from what is prohibited....and believe me what is forbidden is bad for mankind. I encourage you to watch the superbowl with your family and stay away from superbowl parties where there are gambleing and drinking, let your kids see that we can enjoy sports without the haram things at at the same time use the family gathering to pray Magrib salaat just before the game (NY time). I am backing my home team the NY Giants and hopefully they will be able to beat the unbeatable Patriots. Please go out and vote on Tuesday for our votes can certainly make a difference, I will be voting for Barack Obama , by next week you folks will know whether I was a winner or loser in these two "super" events. May all of you have a wonderful week ahead and remember that Allah says, if you come walking towards him he will come running towards you Until next week insha Allah |

I too think that the Giants wil pull it off as well as Obama has the better Character to ,ove this country forward. I too put my entire stock on the back of Islam so I am also counting on its strength. However, I keep my mind open that if Allah, in His infinite wisdom is allowing others to believe whatever they wish, I have no responsibility to demean them for it. So I try to stay away from commenting on others' faith but their actions which affect others become open for discussion.
Have a wonderful week ahead also. |

I encourage all to take the family to the Masjid and do some cleaning or gather the family together and read Quran or get involved in some acts of worship. Death is true and comes unannounced, no one knows the appointed time. It would be better if it comes to us whiles we are performing acts of worship rather than watching the super bowl. Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, thus stated: I am near to the thought of My servant as he thinks about Me, and I am with him as he remembers Me. And if he remembers Me in his heart, I also remember him in My Heart, and if he remembers Me in assembly I remember him in assembly, better than his (remembrance), and if he draws near Me by the span of a palm, I draw near him by the cubit, and if he draws near Me by the cubit I draw near him by the space (covered by) two hands. And if he walks towards Me, I rush towards him. |

It's this type of response that is causing people and especially the youths to go to haram gatherings. There is time for every thing, time to go and clean masjid and time for ibadat and time for enjoying sports. I just finished reading a book "The bookseller of Kabul" and the way you came over you sould similar to the former Taliban gov't. |

Brother you are the one who is encouraging the youths to go haram things. We should strive our best to encourage those acts that is of paramount importance with respect to deen not dunnyah. Shaitan uses this wonderful opportunity to distract the believer, especially with those wonderful ads promoting alcohol. It’d heart rendering to read how you would take pride in reducing me to being a part of the Taliban Government all because I did what our Holy Prophet told us to do. I dumbfounded and cannot come to grips of the fact that super bowl would take precedence over acts of ibadah as you so furiously characterize in your arguments. I doubt that my reminder of getting involved in acts of worship over activities which cannot help us in the hereafter will lead our youths into haram things. I see this charge as very irresponsible and a lack of hikma. Especially coming from a brother like you.SUBHAN ALLAH. |

Fu real please keep it real.
You are quoting me out of context, you chose to ignore the part of my message where I reminded everyone that we should used the oppertunity to pray and remeber our Lord. |

Too much paranoia amongst Muslims today. No balance whatsoever.

Anyway, about a month ago, I said that the Giants will play the Patriots in the super bowl and about three weeks ago, I said that the Giants will win. Looks like I was correct once again.

Sallam my brother!!!! Almighty Allah knows our intentions and we will be judged accordingly. I pray that almighty Allah grant unto us knowledge that will be best for us , knowledge that will save ourselves and our families from the torment of the fire.... A fire that will be 70 times hotter than the hotest fire on dunnyah. Have a wonderful day bro. |

Islam in itself is balance, the imbalances comes into play when we try to mix, innovate , make our own rules and fail to follow the kitab and sunnah. |

Islam is balance. Muslims don't know how to find that balance. The kitab and sunnah never teached us to shun this world. Infact, it teaches us to enjoy the bounties of this world. |

How many of you are able to pray your daytime prayers on time? I do at work everyday. If some of you are concerned that your jobs are making you miss your prayer on time, then why don't you quit your jobs so that you can maintain this very important tenet. Somehow, I foresee some "reasoning" to explain why quitting is not necessary. Exactly my point. We are hypocrites and the sad thing is that we don't even seem to know it.

We must be reminded of our major responsibilities and why we were created in the first place. It all depends on what one’s interpretation on the bounties of this dunnyah are. Almighty Allah told us to explore the bounties of this dunnyah... but by his permission. When we are free we should still labor hard and we should strive to be in constant remembrance of the almighty. My brother who almighty Allah guides no one can stay. The holy Prophet said that if only we know what he knew we will laugh less and cry more. |

And true hikam leads to worshiping Allah and stay in his rememberance.Lack of hikma will lead us to activities which will take us away from what was intended or required of us to our creator. |
