If we as "believers" were more concerned about being right with God, as opposed to being rich, we might not be in the mess we're in, not only as individuals, but as a nation.
. . God is good and all, but money, and lots of it, is better. We will do just about anything to get money, and even when we have a lot of it, it doesn't seem to be enough.So, the rich get richer, and the poor, poorer. People sell their souls for pieces of silver, because money counts more than God. . . Is, then, our current horrendous economic situation an issue of faulty morals? I think so. I think it shows where our hearts are, and in spite of America priding itself on being a Judeo-Christian nation, it is clear that God is not first. If being moral means we know and believe in "the Word," then I am afraid we have fallen painfully short of the mark .. Full Article |

Next time you go to the store must tell the cashier god will take care of the bill and see how well that goes. :)
