In the world anyone who know about Naat and Naat Khwani he not only knows him vrey well, but also great devotee and lover of him and hsi voice. NaatClassic: Sir, we are very thankfull to you for giving us time.
Qari Waheed Zafar.: It's ok..i was very pleased to hear that i am going to give an interview for a religious website. It's a good try

NaatClassic: Sir, how you started your reguler recitation of Holy Quran on television and from which program ?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: I started with my first program named"Baseerat" from Pakistan Televsion Karachi Centre in 1968.

NaatClassic: In how many countries you have participated in the competetions of Husn-e-Qirat?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: I have participated in four international competetions of Husn-e-Qirat and got prizes and gave my country fame. Those countries are Malaysia1969, Lebia1979, Saudia Arab1980, and Syria1981.

NaatClassic: You have also recited the Holy Quran from Television, how you started ?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: I started recitation in 1970 on Radio Pakistan from a program name"Sar Chashmaye Hidayat".

NaatClassic: You are a Naat Khwan of international fame, in how many countries you have performed?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: I have an honour to go to 20 different countries and recite and perform there as a Naat Khwan also. These countries are, U.S.A, U.K, Canada, Italy, Holand, Germany, Switzerland, Norway, Kenya, Tanzania, Mareshes, Iran, India, Malaysia, Lebia, Saudia Arab, U.A.E, Syria and Afghanistan.

NaatClassic: What was your first Naat and when you read that ?
Qari Waheed Zafar: My first naat was "Allah hu, Allah hu" and i read that in 1972 which got international fame.

NaatClassic: Beside that others of your naats also got great fame, what are those?
Qari Waheed Zafar: Those naats are, Faslon ko Takkaluf, Zahe Muqaddar, Qaseeda Burda Shareef, Huzoor Aisa Koi Intezaam, Lab par Naat Pak ka Naghma, Khuda ka zikr kare, Har Waqt Tasawur Main Madine Ki Gali Ha, Main Chup Khara Hua Hoon Darbaar-e-Mustufa Main, Jahan Rozaye Pak, Allah Ne Shan Barhayi Tere Dar ki, Kia Khabar Kia Saza Mujhko Milti, Kabhi Zakham Dil Ka Sajalia, Koi Gugtugoo Ho Lab, Na Kahin Se Door Hain Manzilain, Mere Wird-e-Lab Ha Nabi Nabi.

NaatClassic: How many audio and video cassettes of your Naat collection have released?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: Till now, I have released four audio cassatte in market named "Naksh-e-Madina", "Bahar-e-MAdina", "Gulzaar-e-Madina" and "Darbaar-e-Mustufa".

NaatClassic: What are you doing now a days ?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: I am serving as a teacer of Quranic Studies in a Private school of Karachi as well as in a program of Pakistan Television name "Iqra".

NaatClassic: Would you like to tell about those many awards awarded by the Government of Pakistan and media also?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: I have recieved five awards from Pakistan Television and two from Radio Pakistan for both naatkhwani and Husn-e-Qirat, Government of Pakistan has also awarded me Pride of Performance for being a Naat Khwan as well as Qari.

NaatClassic: And many Organizations have awarded you also many prizes ?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: Yes from many Organization and different Organizatin have also arranged a corronation ceremony for me thrice.

NaatClassic: Whats the most memorable and unforgettable moments of your life which you consider the best one ?
Qari Waheed Zafar.: Well, its a special blessing of GOD on me that i have got everything in life which i wished for, but the greatest moment in my life was that when i got a very golden chance to visit Roza-e-Rasool and took an inner view of it and not only view but also i read naat and salam there inside Roza-e-Rasool, thats the moment which i can't forget and for which i will be thankfull and greatfull for my GOD and HIS blessings.
