Ramadan Mubarak

In this blessed month of Ramadan,
May Allah the Almighty shower his choicest blessings on all of us.
May HE make our Iman stronger.
May HE forgive all our sins, short comings and mistakes.
May HE fulfill all our desires.
May HE safeguard us from all calamities and troubles.

Ramadan Mubarak!!....to ALL my Muslim Brothers and Sisters.

These will be long days of Fasting, I pray that Allah make it easy for us, not only to stay away from food and drink, but to keep our minds, hearts and thoughts pure.

Let us remembers those who are less fortunate and be generous in whatever way we can....even if it is only prayers.

I wish all of you a Blessed month.

In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Kind

A blessed month is casting its shadow upon us
A night of this month is better than a thousand months
Bear with patience for the sake of Al-Rahman
It's a continuous training to strengthen our Imaan.

Glory be to Allah who sent Ramadan as a mercy to mankind
Its a purification of our soul, our heart, and our mind
With the most sincere devotion and love we fast
To be cleansed and free from sins of the past

Glorified is He, who choseth this holy month,
To test our sabr and fill our hearts with warmth
Of his Divine Light, His blessings shall glow,
The Seer of the unseen, all He does know

Ya Allah! For thee, let my breath be more pleasant than musk
Ya Allah! For thee, let me be thankful when day turns to dusk
My thoughts and heart are purified, my eyes truly see'
This blessed month, the month of spiritual rhapsody!

Ya Allah! For thee, my life I shall live!
Ya Allah! For thee, my soul I shall give!
In the name of Allah, the most Merciful, the most Kind,

Praise be to Allah, who sent Ramadan as a gift to mankind

Ramadhaan Mubarak to all. Times of religious observances are beneficial for all even though some don't necessirily observe them. Thay are times of goodwill and the hopefully the actions of the observers are beneficial to the welfare of then as well as the non-observers. Let us not judge others. Leave judging to the best of judges, God.

The prophet Muhammad once said that one is not a Muslim if his hands and mouth are harmful to his neighbors. Let us observe the wonderful teachings of Muhammad and help make our world a better place, inshaaAllah.

RAMADHAAN MUBARAK

Janbhai, I am sorry, but the Q link that DG was able to find is superb, just remember to set the settings to the Reciter; for me it will be Shiek Al Ajmy: He is very melodious, and makes listening to Al Quran a joy and worthwile always.
.

Ramadan Mubarak to all

A guide to Ramadan terms
Staff Reporter
Published: September 12, 2007, 00:29

Ramadan: The ninth month of the Islamic (lunar) calendar.

Sawm: The Arabic word for fast.

Iftar: Breaking of the fast immediately after sunset. Iftar takes place at Maghrib as soon as the Call to Prayer (Adhan).

Suhoor :The pre-fast meal before dawn.

Eid Al Fitr: Three-day festival marking the end of Ramadan. It takes place on the 1st of Shawal, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar.

Fidya: Compensation for missing a fast, for those unable to, or wrongly practicing it. Fidya usually takes the form of donating money, foodstuffs, or sacrificing an animal. Contrast with Kaffara (making amends).

Zakat: Stands for purification; Muslims give up a portion of wealth in excess of what is needed for sustenance to "purify" or legitimise what they retain.

Zakat Al Fitr: The contribution given at the end of Ramadan.

Eid Mubarak: Greeting meaning "Have a happy and blessed Eid" expressed at the end of Ramadan.
