Islam came before the turks and the mughals invaded India. It came via traders to the Malabar coast, south India.

The book was discovered after a raid on a hotel in the city. Police arrested a man who was trying to sell it and an antique painting for more than $1m.
The man was trying to raise a frk by selling the good book...serves hi a55 right...profiting from the holy book sale.

a man has got to eat. He may not be Muslim but a heathen like me so the selling it would be a financial transaction like any other. The matter ought to be whether he was in possession of it legitimately or not. Maybe the story is incomplete and the police came because it was reported stolen or declared a national treasure and appropriated by the state. We do not have the back story as to why they came to the hotel and arrested the man.
