Indeed. Unfortunately when Muslims started similar threads in the past, people accused us of trying to push our religion down their throats and big fights would break out. I remembered back in 2005 stating that Muslims never objected to any inspirational postings by people of other religions and found it distressing that we were always opposed when we do the same. We were accused of dominating the board. and only posting the "nice" side of Islam but leaving the "ugly" side alone. :) Unfortunately, Muslims are carrying a lot of bad baggage today, and we are trying our best to separate ourselves from our misguided brothers, but that should not take away from the fact that within Muslim worship, there are a lot of very inspirational offerrings that could be beneficial to more than just Muslims. Things that soothe the heart in similar fashion. |
