See Villo...God is a concept that was introduced to us via several institutions, beginning at home, progressing to school and then church. The ideal scenario I have in mind is this: lest suppose that you were Tarzan, the jungle bwoy, would God have existed for you? What would you call him?

See, I do believe that there is a higher energy, that is without religion. And that is spirituality. I can't see myself confining that great concept god to any religious following.

Now for any further revelation on god you need a few healthy doses of GG.

Bhai my belief is mine. I know of the higher power you talk of, I have actually experienced it. Why is this soooo important to you?

Since I am playing psychologist, this is what I think. You are searching and yearning to learn as much as you can about GOD because of its/his/her infinite power. Why not accept that this infinite power may be accepting of whatever form it/he/she is revered.

Searching???? Okay Dear Abbey.

Self analysis is least flattering in terms of endearment. It wasn't so important...I just asked a simple question. You are who you are...and believe what you want. But to tell me that you experience the infinite power...ah ha...yes...now I see the light. Now please tell me how I can learn about God, since you seem to know about him/her? I hope you don't take this negatively...just for our benefit on GNI.

Self analysis? You are obviously not following GNI thoroughly - the term was imposed on me as you are implying I am "Dear Abbey". I have experienced that infinite power and had shared that experience awhile ago on GNI however for some unforseen reason, that was one of the threads that was actually deleted on religion (not even locked down) for reasons unbeknownst to me.

You know Lake Hinduism or more aptly Sanatan Dharma is more a way of life than a religion; I know it sounds cliché. Some of your postings bother me. Atheist fanatic :)

Petal...I am not an atheist...however I can't see this great concept of god being bottled and sold by various religious followings where everyone seems to have a lock on the passage to heaven. I am tired of the nonsense that they spew that you can only go through this and that. I hope that I am not annoying you. But there is so much that is wrong with the parceling of god, that it does great injustice to the concept of this "infinite" being. And no dear I a not fanatical...just practical.

Spinoza said God did not create man...man created god.
the jains ask: if there is a god, good, why all this suffering?
Biblical and Qu'ranic ideas; It says God hardened Pharoah's heart. Is that fair? Why harden Pharoah's heart and cut de bwoy off?
Or is it just a man telling a story that can be reexamined and found faulty? or is the entire Hebrew myth (from whence Islam and Christianity) just a tribal tale that evolved into much more than the people imagined it would.

I gotta run..but will add to this tomorra. All the "proofs" of God are nonsensical according to theorists. Hence religion is "irrational." Don't mean there is no God...you can't PROVE. YOu simply KNOW. We don't have an english word. WHich is why in Hinduism, you sat with the guru for years. In Islam, it is m'arifa. In christianity, gnosis. Will explain later if you really feel like it. I been accused of being resident schola..and some peeoples promising to send food and not sending it.

Petal: religion is a nonsensical western term. Only people in the western culture ask "what is your religion" Jesus did not know the word; the Torah does not know the term" the word translated from the quran as "religion" is shallowly represented. They meant "way" "law" code of life" "that which brings you nearer to Biggie G (god is a rapster tonite).
