Myself and all of the members of Rose Hall Town Masjid and Islamic Center easily observed the Hilaal after sunset on Tuesday, 30th September, 2008 in Rose Hall Town, Guyana, South America. The Hilaal was easily seen at 5:55 PM (Guyana Time). Other Muslims communities in Guyana also observed the Hilaal today, making Wednesday, 1 October, 2008, the first day of Shawwal and the day of Eid Ul Fitir. |
