Yu damn right. My princesses are such a joy. Unfortunately, as a hot tempered ahole, sometimes I short change them. but they are good, and by the end of the hour usually, we are back on good terms. but ain't no beating in my home.
That of course, does not deny that like most aholes, I often overlook the impact of a harsh word.
AH hope you know that despite all that Mikey saying, he is probably a frickin ***** cat.

My 4 years old is more adapted to his mom than he is to me. One day when she had not yet returned from work, he kept asking me when she will reach home. I kept telling him soon. At one point, he couldn't help it so he asked me how long was soon.

I was telling him this morning how important it is that he is always safe. Then I told him that I had to pull him out of his mom and bring him into this world. I had the previlege of pulling both of my kids into this world so I hold that blessing very dear to me. I remember the nurse had to chase me out the hospital when my daughter was born. I tried to tell them that everything that matters to me was there and not home. But they didn't buy it. They said that the mother needed rest. Serves us right. We chose the open recovery room instead of the private one.

This model looks very much like what we see our folks on the other side of Islam practices. As a Muslim it is far different from what you seem to support as a way parents should exercise their duties/rights on their kids ( Subhan Allah). It all boils down to what model you as a Muslim decide to uphold. The model of the kuffars or that of the rightly guided, make your pick brother , for you will be held accountable for whatever choices you adopt.[/QUOTE]

All this talk about kufars is bs.First of all I detest to call folks kufars.
Some of these same "Kufar's' children are better behaved than anyone else and they do listen to thier parents.
My model is to teach our children Islam and at the same time to listen to them for when we stop listening or never listens then we have big trouble.
Which one is better to force your daughter to wear the hijab and as soon as she gets out of your eyesight she tears it off? That makes us look like fools.

Education is the key, not forceing out teenagers to do things that are nessarily or absolutely compulsory.
As I stated teeneagers of every creed have runins with thier parents and it's up to how thwe parent handles the situation.

That is why we let Allah decide on matters of faith. We don't know and we are not supposed to subject someone to something for which we don't know they are guilty. The hijab is law in Saudi and people have to comply there. It is not in the US and Canada so we cannot subject people to it here. I know a girl who married this guy because he is very religious. Actually, she knew his sister for a long time who is also religious and is married to one of the respected brothers (well, not by me) in our community. So she thought that since he was religious and his sister was also very religious, it is a good fit for her since she was interested in a religious home. Well, they have been married since 1996 and now with two kids later, she is living hell. He gives khutbahs and she will not listen to any of his speeches since his actions at home contradicts all that he does. Now that she is in the family, she has learned that his sister is no better. They will not read 20 tarawihs because the prophet only read 8. Instead, they will use the rest of the time criticizing/condemning others because those others are not religious enough for them. There is so much horror to that story including the guy who I mentioned that I don't respect. So who are we kidding?

Every story has three sides, I am sure if you speak to the husband you will hear a differnt story.

just don't judge someone all because of an unhappy wife.

I never lost my faith and I doubt that I ever will unless Allah decides to exclude me from his rahmah. But I have lost my patience with many Muslims.

so what are you doing about it ?? i am getting tired of you too :)

Brothers!!! Brothers!
Had Rasululah (sas)lost patiece today ISlam would not have been at every corner of the globe.
Please, let's show tolerance and try to educate each other for none of us are without fault and neither are we knowleble in every aspect of Islam.
