Use software and computer audio video programs at Masjid Abu Ubaidah to learn to speak Arabic.
This is a novel idea by Masjid Abu Ubaidah!!!
Very few masjids (if any) offer this! This is not Qur'anic recitation. This is learning the language.
check the link!

I'm starting to do it. It's starts from basic words building up a vocabulary. Once you have a large vocabulary, you can then go to sentences.
You hook up your earphones to the computer, look at the screen, identify an object, click on it, and a voice gives you the arabic pronounciation. You repeat it into the computer to get the correct pronounciation. I'll fill in you later.

Arabic for English Speakers - levels 1&2

This is the English version of "Arabic for French-Speakers." It has been especially adapted for an English speaking audience. The CD-ROM contains all the same modules as the French version. Furthermore, the integrated search engine, bilingual dictionary, recording console, progress report and language laboratory (equipped with a speech recognition system), along with other tools, will accompany you throughout the five parts of the CD-ROM.

With a total of 300 hours of learning, this CD-ROM is currently the most complete computer method for learning Arabic in the world, and the only one equipped with a speech recognition system.

Is it the same as the Rosetta Stone Arabic?

I found the rosetta stone pretty good but as usual I lost interest and now the cd is somewhere in my house picking up dust.
