Sorry to disappoint. Listen carefully to what the man said. that is not what the bible states. By bible, of course I refer to the Hebrew Bible. What the gospels say is being limited by his tunnel vision. Since u seem to be so eager to reduce the quran to that, let us be straight here: the quran deems those who associate gods with god knowingly will go to hell. As far as monotheists, no. Perhaps you should read 'the meaning and end of religon" by cantwell smith, and the meaing of the word "islam' before assuming that the latter part of your statement is jest. |

U is a wutless ra%% you know. He came out of Jerry Falwell's liberty academy. He slanted the words of jesus "the way is thru me." That was evil. He said Jesus did not mention buddha, mohammed etec. By extension, when pressed, he also included the Jewish names. That was a very unchristian thing he did...were he a minister with no seminarian training, it could have been accepted. But this man claims to have graduated. That makes a difference. Even Jerry recanted when he made similar statements

bannas you had looking at the entire show again lol. The dude said what he believes in ... that Christ is the only way to salvation .... how is this different from islam teaching? I cant see a Mormon, christian ..jew etc going to heaven according to the quran teachings.

How is it different? Well for one the quran says that to each nation was sent a prophet,each nation has its way and law..there is no one savior for all of humankind. That is an elementary diff...And not only once does the q talk of the people of the book...but several times. |

I am not asking Kaz. YOu are the one who made the statement. I refuted you with a single verse. With many more to come. When one refers to a scripture, he must be prepared to cite relevant verses.
The Quran, as the last of the abrahamic books of yore ( here I am considering the bahai)..was an intertext..and therefore very careful of how it spoke about other monotheistic religions. ANything obviously polytheistic was against its message..but even then, it spoke of those arabs who rejected it after understanding it and those who were proud to accept truth. ALL other religons, it considered under the verses I already referred to. As for the NT, when it comes to what JC said, he too, when he was asked to pray for a gentile, pointed out that she was that and should not ask him to pray for her. That was in itself an indication that JC was not dismissive of other beliefs...unlike what the Liberty Idiot was propagating yesterday. |

ANd don' t you know that at the time of the QUr'an, "the people of the book" were divided into sects fighting amongst themselves..the docetists etc? Yet islam only talks about the POLYTHEISTS. You said you were going to come with proof about Christians etc. That is what I asked for.

And these verses have to be read in conjuction with : 2:63. Simple. It is therefore referring to AS I STATED, those who claim one thing and are in fact polytheist which is NOT therefore judaic or christian. Do please come with something better.
