The qur'an talks about "hatu burhanakum"..burhan is absolute proof. Often proof is derived thru detailed analysis. If you arent trained in it, you can't go it. Which is why there are ulema.
4. Still we cannot defend the undefendable. We need to know when something is a derived contruct of men, as opposed to a divine order. Like Hadith and Fiqh. If something is nonsense, we have to say so. If a verse of the Qur'an is out of sync with modernity, we have to say so. I pointed out the word "dharra" does not mean atom. Yet we now render it as such.
5. WE don't defend our religion by denigrating others. Our religion is not based on denigration of others for we accept the right of all..and this is not a construct of mine, but a scriptural imperative.
6. In future if you guys want to get Dara involved in religious discussion, send some food to my university that is really good and I will consider my options.
