De man did get a reduced sentence. How did he get picked to do de job when they tell yuh dat drug addicts are unreliable and unresponsive. If someone was trying to wreck havoc, we are better off that they are apprehended anyway.

I don't know. That they were doing some crap? Certainly. What they were into, I don't know. I guess I am jaded because the last case I did...I feel that the guy was an idiot, but not a terrorist. But ya never know. As for the virgin part...dem bannas got their little cliques in the jails...but i have a feeling, the guards will have them picking up a lot of soap.

One thing I regretted very much is that sometime around 2000, a guy was introduced to our masjid in Ramadhaan as a new convert to Islam. What was strange about the whole thing was that his explanation for becoming a Muslim varied significantly from most converts who would say things like Islam is simple, make sense, brings them peace of mind or truth, etc. This guy said that he became a Muslim after he was a best man at his friend's wedding and nothing more. However, he went on to talk about how he owns a security company and that he has spent some years in Israel and proceeded to describe how the Israelis were ill treating the Palestinians. I thought to my self that what he was saying was only going to aggravate the congregation (which surprisingly remained very unresponsive to his stories about Israel). I also thought that he may be a phony since his explanation for becoming a Muslim dis not coincide with the usual ones. I wanted to get up and challenge him to see if he was really real but we are always taught to be respectful.

I wish that I had said something because he turned out to be an imposter and ended up trapping a 13 or 14 years old boy into wanting to fight for the cause. Today, that boy is doing about 15 years for getting trapped. It was easy to get upset with Israel back in 2000 since the trip that Sharon made restarted the intifada. Now that poor boy is paying for it.

How I wish that I can revisit that Ramadhaan night. As much as I wish that 911 never happened.

I would agree with you that the most corrupted practice of any religion is the Middle East Islam. Expose any muslim to ME islam and you will find/get bigotry.

Between certain strands of ME islam, Pakistani Islam, Reconstructionist Christianity, Gush Emunim, we got a whole set of terrorists....

then you need to check up on some of the actions. The rhetoric in the US army..with many Jewish members taking cases against evangelization is unique. In Uganda, the army of the Lord is unique. Gush Emunim, as well as its rightwing groups in Israel have slaughtered palestinians without any word of censure from the governments. When bombs were dropped on Iraq with 'Jesus loves you"...this egregious departure from Jesus teachings was committed by American Christians...

dont mistake the american wars as christianity wars. They are not. In fact they are muslims and other religions in the american army. Its american war, not a religious war. It's the fanatics that tries to put their own spin to it. Gush Emunim/Jewish is fighting a "terorrity" war.

True. The problem is that the Americans have used christian rhetoric in ALL their wars. Check Jack Nelson Pallmeyer "savign christianity from empire." Gush emunim is not just about territory..but about chosenness. See Kidmost and Erics on political forum..they seem to hit it in the head...
I went to Israel a few times, and heard fundamentalists there sound as bad as the islamists..if not worse.
