wasa good. Imam talked about those who told others that if they fasted today, it was "haraam". His point was that from as far back as we know in the different muslim states there was difference of opinion. Let that difference continue with harmony..for it shows the ability to accept difference.
What he also stressed was that like it or not, in NOrth America there is such a thing as a fiqh council..and that in the name of unity, regardless of our position, we should follow their decision. Sounds like a mature idea.
Good thing that it was raining...loved it. Loved the fact that the place was so crowded that they had to send some people to another venue, and at this one, do another prayer as well.
But most of all, looking forward to my goat curry later today. Figgy, Freak, D_G, Chameli, Rajk: you can come by. Argy you invited if you bring chasers. Cham: bring some non-alcoholic baileys. Rosie: if you gun do the dance of the seven pardahs, you can show up. The rest: bring mitthai, bara, pholourie, sour...and peking duck.
