BOLLYWOOD legend Amitabh Bachchan has announced that he will be going on a world tour with his son and new daughter-in-law.

The Big B has billed the 'Unforgettable Tour 2008' as the greatest show on earth and his team of superstars will include Aishwarya Rai, Abishek Bachchan, Ritesh Deshmukh, Lara Dutta and Bipasha Basu.

The tour, to start next March, will be the first ever world tour to cover six continents including the US, Europe, Africa and the Middle East and will take place in 18 countries including the UK where they will perform in London and Birmingham.

Mr Bachchan made the announcement prior to the IIFA ceremony tonight

He said the 'Unforgettable tour 2008' was also a way to say thank you to Bollywood fans and this was his way to award them with power packed performances from India's superstars.

He said: "The whole concept of taking stars from India to different countries to stage concerts was first created in 1981. I joined Lata Mangeshkar on a tour in the US and realised the demand for such events. Fans did not want to see one star; they wanted me to be on stage with several stars, hence my next tour in 1983 with a larger group.

"It had opened my eyes and I loved that people were keen to see us perform on stage and this soon became a regular routine for stars from India.

"I've had some remarkable experiences and I think it will be wonderful to do this all over again throughout the world with a great team."

The tour will also mean that for the first time all three Bachchans will come together on stage promising to bring alive the magic of Indian cinema as they plan to descend on stage with what they believe will be electrifying performances.

Mr Bachchan's new daughter in law, Ash said she was looking forward to performing on stage with her husband and father-in-law.

She said: "I am truly happy to be involved in this and to be part of this wonderful team and I think this is a fantastic opportunity to be working with the greatest and most amazing person in the industry, Mr Bachchan and of course it will be the first time with my husband and I am looking forward to it.

"I have been on tour with Lara in the past and we had a blast."

Abishek said the team also hoped to raise the issues regarding global warming and that the tour was going to be affiliated with Global Cool, a new initiative to raise awareness of global warming throughout the world.

"This is our chance to spread the word overseas and back home about global warming," he said.

" It's an issue close to all out hearts and we will take the opportunity on stage to educate people."

it's not like he needs the money n what's with the black hair and white beard, i had adored him bk in the 80's and watched most of his movies but now i think he is too arrogant and not worth my time.

there's no doubt he made his mark in the industry and but I agree with IK, if he let go of his arrogance i think he'll be more respected.

Was he on the verge of Bankruptcy once?

His company ABCL was having financial problems but i think he bounced back from that...i hope Ash had a prenup!

I think Ash is now a puppet in this marriage.
