Katrina Kaif (born July 16, 1984) is a model and Bollywood actress. She has acted in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam films.

Her mother is English and father a NRI originally from Kashmir. She was born in Hong Kong, grew up in Hawaii and London. She has seven sisters. She is currently dating actor Salman Khan. However, there are reports that Kaif and Mr. Khan have married in secret.

Career

She worked as a photographic model in advertising before entering the film world.

Katrina debuted in the film Boom, which featured her as a supermodel. She has done two Telugu movies - Malliswari(2004) and Allari Pidugu(2005). In 2005 she starred in Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya opposite Salman Khan and Sushmita Sen and had a role in Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar. She was also chosen for role of Radha in Ram Gopal Varma ke Sholay, but was subsequently dropped and role was given to Sushmita Sen[1]. In 2006, she debuted in Malayalam Cinema through the Mammootty starrer Balram v/s Tharadas

Her voice is also being dubbed by another actress, due to her unfamiliarity with Hindi. She will be using her own voice in her next film.

However Katrina managed to make a comeback with her films Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya starring Salman and in Ramgopal Varma’s Sarkar. Katrina’s film career has just begun and her recent film Humko Deewana Kar Gaye starring Akshay Kumar won her decent reviews for her performance in the film. Katrina has just turned 23 and currently has signed on quite a few films like Anees Bazmee’s Welcome and David Dhawan’s Partner.

According to rumours Salman will soon cross 40 yrs and is now quite anxious to tie the knot. His career is also going great and according to sources he feels that it is the right time to finally settle down in life and get married. Unfortunately at this point of her life Katrina who is young and is just beginning her career is not keen on getting married. According to sources presently both Salman and Katrina have different priorities in life. It is also being said that Katrina is not too keen on marriage because of Salman’s possessive and jealous nature. These different priorities are causing a lot of stress and tension in the relationship between the two of them.
