Mini Biography
Divya Bharti was born in Mumbai (Bombay) to Om Prakash and Meeta. She left college her mid-way and started acting in films. Her debut movie was "Bobilli Raja" in Telugu. The film "Bobilli Raja" was super hit at Telugu box office and it was dubbed into Hindi as "Rampur ka Raja". She went on to do five more Telugu films such as "Nila Penne", "Dharma Kshetram", "Tholi Mudhu", "Rowdy Alludu "and "Assembly Rowdy". Then Divya Bharti shifted to Bollywood and made her debut with "Vishwatma" in 1992. The film had average success at box office but Divya Bharti shot into fame with the song 'Saat Samundar Paar ……' in the movie "Vishwatma". Afterwards, Divya Bharati gave super hit film "Deewana" opposite Sharukh Khan and Rishi Kapoor. Thereafter Divya Bharati acted in 13 films amidst speculation that she is next Sridevi.

Divya Bharti fell in love with film producer Saajid Nadiadwala and married him secretly. But her life tragically came to an end when she fell from fifth floor of her flat in Yari Road, Versoa. The circumstances behind her death were considered suspicious by the media however police could not find any evidence to prove that it was murder. Two of Divya Bharti's films "Rang" and "Satranj" were released after her death.

Sixteen years ago, on 7th of April 1993, a young girl who was dressed up in bridal finery and surrounded by hundreds of people in a Mumbai suburb, instead of being sent to er "sasural", was being taken to the crematorium. That was the tragic end of 19 year old Divya Bharti, who had fallen from the window of her fifth floor apartment around midnight on 5th April, 1993. Whether the omising actress (who had risen within a short period and was expected to reach the top in the comming years of Indian Bollywood) committed suicide or met an accidental death remains a mystery.

Divya Bharti had become a star from her very first film and perhaps she was ony actress of her times among the young lot who had 14 films in hand without any release. Born on 25th
February, 1974 to Meeta and Om Prakash Bharti, Divya was in the ninth standard when producers started approaching her to work in films. She was discovered by direcctor Kirti Kumar around 1988 in a Mumbai Video Library. She was to play the lead role oppositeGovinda in Radha Ka Sangam, but was later dropped.

After this hit she got very good opportunities in Telugu Flims. Assembly Rowdy the mega hit of that year (hero Mohan Babbu now he was MP) and Dharma Kshetram with the son of the Telugu Anna (NTR) Balakrishna is also a box-office hit. With in the industry though Divya was known as a hard working actress when was infamous for her erratic mood swings. the marraige was kept a secret for a long time to safeguard her sharply ascending career. But she need't really have been bothered because in 1992 she was adjudged the best for the most Outstanding Popular Face Award for the year.

When she was offered Rang opposite Mamal Sadannah rejected by Karishma she asked the dress designer to alter the dresses made for the other actress to suit her instead of wasting money on new cloths. She was not in favour of wastage and neither was she not money-minded. When Rajiv Rai offered her Mohra opposite Sunil Shetty, she did not take a penny from him because he had introduced her in Vishwatma. Films like Mohra, Vijaypath and Laadla were left incomplete because of her sudden death. When DD showed clippings of Laadla with Divya in the main role followed by those done by Sridevi (who had replaced her in the film), viewers felt that Divya was better in some scenes than Sridevi!. She did have the makings of becomming a big star but fate
decides over and above what the humans plan. Divya was destined otherwise.

Synopsis

Inspector Prabhat Singh (Sunny Deol) has been assigned the task of apprehending an elusive criminal don named Azghar Jurhad (Amrish Puri). Azghar's whereabouts are unknown in India, but after an investigation, he is traced to the African country of Kenya. Prabhat, accompanied by Akash Bhardwaj (Chunky Pandey), who is the only person who can identify Azghar, go to Kenya. Once in Kenya they are met with the Kenyan Police Inspector of Indian-origin named Surya Pratap Singh (Naseeruddin Shah). It is Surya's duty to ensure that Prabhat and Akash play by the Kenyan rules, and not break the law. Synopsis

Kajal (Divya Bharti) marries a famous singer Ravi (Rishi Kapoor). They live happily for a while, until tragedy strikes when Ravi's greedy uncle (Amrish Puri) and cousin (Mohnish Behl), who are determined to lay their hands on Ravi’s wealth, hire hoodlums to kill Ravi. Kajal’s mother-in-law (Sushma Seth) takes her to a new place to pull her out of her depression.

In a new city, Kajal tries to forget her past. Raja (Shahrukh Khan), the son of a rich man, falls for her, learns that she is a widow, and resolves to bring happiness into her life. Her mother-in-law too feels that she should marry again and persuades her to marry Raja. Kajal eventually comes to accept Raja as her husband and falls in love with him. Everyone seems to be living happily ever after until one day Raja rescues a man from hoodlums, treats him in a hospital, befriends him, and brings him home. This man is Ravi, who apparently survived his uncle's attempt to kill him. Everything is revealed and Kajal ends up staying with Raja; Ravi's mother leaves with Ravi.

Kajal is then kidnapped by Ravi's uncle and both Ravi and Raja go to save her. In the ensuing struggle, Ravi sacrifices himself to save Raja and Kajal.

Synopsis

The three decide not to reveal the mother's identity, bring up the child as their own, and the first one to get married gets to look after the child. A baby girl is born and is named Sitara. She is left in the care of Razia, who later takes her to an orphanage run by Shantidevi. Subsequently, Salma gets married to Akram, but does not adopt Sitara. Rajlaxmi also gets married, but again does not adopt Sitara. Barkha's boyfriend leaves her to settle in the U.S.A., and is never heard from again. Three years later when the three friends go to visit Sitara, they are told that she has been abducted. The three return back to their lives, and refuse to speak with each other. 18 years later, Barkha is now the Health and Welfare Minister; Salma is the Principal of St. Teresa's Convent, while Rajlaxmi manages a stud farm. Their lives are turned upside down when a prostitute, Laila, enters their lives, claiming that she is their daughter, and wants to know who her biological mother is. Watch what happens when the three, who haven't spoken to each other for 18 years, must now get together to confront this problem - without causing any adverse publicity, and harm to their respective families.
