Does anyone know of a program (along the lines of Family Tree) that will allow remote users to upload data and information?

When Jagdeo visited his ancestral village a few years he launched a website for Guyanese to put their family information into a database they have. The problem with that is that not many Guyanese have that information since it is sitting in the Guyana National Archive rotting away quickly.

That is one aspect of the problem, and I have completely lost patience with that situation. However, in addition to unknown private records, there are records in England, Spain and The Netherlands. Mr. Ishmael said a few years ago that he would publish the citations to his writings -- that would be one way of getting to his underlying work. I hope he does so soon.

There are also records in India, only the UK has been trying to digitize their colonial records. for Spain and Netherlands its a little bit more difficult for English-speakers like Guyanese to read those documents.... and I doubt whether they will have them translated.
