I recently read James Patterson's "Honeymoon" and David Baldacci's "Divine Justice". I'm presently reading Cold Stone by Baldacci.

Hmmm...and if I come into some quick cash, I won't be a cheapskate - I'll buy Gaitura Bahadur's book instead of visiting the library Big Grin

Thanks TP. I know many of his books have been out of print for years now.
I was able to get hold of 'Corentyne Thunder' some years ago from the NY Public Library. I managed to buy a used copy of 'Children Of Kaywana' from Amazon.
I read some where that moves were afoot to republish 'Corentyne Thunder'.

Not surprising which book was that. I know he poured kero or some flamable liquid on himself in an open field and set himself alight.

you can check here for some of his titles.

I'm reading "GABRIEL GARCIA MARQUEZ: A Life" by Gerald Martin.
Impression so far: It's not for nothing he won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1982. He worked hard to perfect his craft and showed that the world is not all that it appears to be.

Ah ha - my older brother told me about that; and that is exactly how one the characters died in his last book, according to my big brother. Smile

Thanks for the link.

I'm reading A POWER GOVERNMENTS CANNOT SUPPRESS by Howard Zinn. It contains a collection of essays that show how ordinary people can do extraordinary things to stand up to power for the common good. Howard Zinn was an American historian, university professor, playwright and political activist. He died recently.

Alex, I called today and the lady said that I have to pay $2.62 per week for the subscription! I told her that I'll think about it. That's over $100.00 per year. That's a tad too costly. What do you think?
