U Know TM Peter Gabriel is not a bad singer I love his music ...Alanis ...well u have to really like her kind of music to enjoy...I love to listen to some heavy medal music...for me the lyrics and instruments...that's what I look for.... You guys get that music there too or do you have to dial into Suriname. The reason I ask, when I listened to Led Zeppenlin back in the days, we had to try and pick up a Suriname radio station, that stuff never played on GY stations.
Once,me and a couple of my buddies got a lil group together and we played some Jimi Hendrixz stuff at Radio Demerara,dem boys throw on the dam advertisement and stiffled the tunes. Dem people just didn't get into that stuff.

Can, can't believed that u guys had to pick up foreign station ...when my brother told me that they used to do so with I think Radio Antilles (sp).. buthave to admit Zep, Deep Purple, ACDC etc are the kings of what u called (not too sure) acid Rock.. Jim Hen.... well some claim that he was not on of the best of course, I don't know alot of that era...so keep bringing the info...thank great.. wavey.gif

98.1 fm plays atleast 2 or 3 hrs of roack a day.......

i take most of my music off the internet....

i used to listen to rick dees top 40 on RR ....in the early 90s.....thats where i got to like the alternative genera......the tv stations shows a god deal of rock also ........djs seegobind and stress play alot of rock

Amber,speaking of Ac/DC.I picked up a copy of a Gibson Special (flat black) electric guitar,just like the one Angus Young played with AC/DC,sweeeet.

U probably pay a pretty penny for it...I was once down yr Queen street and there is a shop selling guitars...I have never seen so many types..I wonder if that shop is still there...but u enjoy yr purchase...my learning the guitar ain't going so good because I don't seem to have the time ...and man oh man try playing a BeeGees tune ...lots of changes ...but I love it so I will keepp at it.... wavey.gif

Dem is what u called good guitarist...Duran Duran has a great guitartist too.... and I love Phil Collins on drums the most... wavey.gif
