I know the song. I did not know Carlos played the Spanish guitar portions in it with a pick.I know those riffs but play them in the traditional flamenco style. I have the midi files storied in my keyboard and play it often because it is one of my favorites. Maybe he wanted that staccato sound but you can do that with fingers.

If you play the guitar you will notice he busted off on his own riff which was not musically complex but made it clear he has advance formal training as he easily broke across three modes of the pentatonic scale. He knows where every note is on that fretboard. He will be a phenomenal guitarist when he matures ( he is already amazing!) |
