And all it takes are two chords on most of the song. I preferred this live version.

Quite correct my man, a quick change at "burning"
I find it amazing that songs from the likes of eg. Hendrix,Pink Floyd who use a few chords, sound like a massive amount of work but it's all in the delivery.

Yes, there are many songs with the usual I IV V triad or less in any key and sound absolutely phenomenal. However, songs like "Yesterday" cannot be played except if you hold the 16 or so chords.

Elton John - Your song - hon just for you...

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=mTa8U0Wa0q8

It's a little bit funny this feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money but boy if I did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live

If I was a sculptor, but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a travelling show
I know it's not much but it's the best I can do
My gift is my song and this one's for you

And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well a few of the verses well they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite kind while I wrote this song
It's for people like you that keep it turned on

So excuse me forgetting but these things I do
You see I've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I've ever seen (less

Bee Gees- How Can You Mend a Broken Heart:

http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=5r49pYLk6Xg

can think of younger days when living for my life
Was everything a man could want to do.
I could never see tomorrow, but I was never told about the sorrow.

And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend a this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again.

I can still feel the breeze that rustles through the trees
And misty memories of days gone by
We could never see tomorrow, noone said a word about the sorrow.

And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend this broken man?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again. (less)
