I was watching TV last night --- shows about aids in Africa, millions of folks without drinking water. Poverty. Adults and children dieing because of no access to medicine.

But what Bono from the U2 band had done is unparallel in the field of charity. His collaboration with other artists and governments are the trademarks of a legend. He is the co-founder of EDUN, the ONE Campaign and Product Red. Bono has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, was granted an honorary knighthood by the United Kingdom, and was named as a Person of the Year by Time, among many other awards and nominations.

I encourage you to read about up about Bono. Not because he himself is an artist but because of his fight against aids, low wages in poor nations etc … and if I remember correctly he single handedly challenge rich nations to forgive debts own by poorer nations years ago with success. And maybe not even Bill Gates are in his league in terms of bringing awareness to these human issues and in charity.

The world need more like him.
