Everton Blender - Ghetto People Song

Ghetto people song only them can sing this one

Higher, higher, higher, we stepping higher
Higher, higher, higher, higher, we stepping higher

It's a ghetto people song, only them can sing this one
It's a song for the poor who's facing sufferation
It's a ghetto people song, only them can sing this one
It's a song for the poor who's facing sufferation

Followers, followers of downpression
Why do you only terrorize the poor
Diluting the fact they are human
Who one day will not take it any more, woh

Take it from your brother Everton Blender
Now is the time for you to get stronger
Wise up, wise up and temper your hunger

It's a ghetto people song, only them can sing this one
It's a song for the poor who's facing sufferation
It's a ghetto people song, only them can sing this one
It's a song for the poor who is facing tribulation

Give a little, even a little
Just make it trickle, know who you give to
I'm talking to you mister fortunate one, hey yeah
Do it in a hurry or you will be sorry
Others burden we must help to carry
Ababajani make everyone, hey yeah

Ghetto people song, only them can sing this one
It's a song for the poor who's facing sufferation
It's a ghetto people song, only them can sing this one
It's a song for the poor who's facing sufferation

Foul snell in the air, bigger heads don't care
Child become sick, the doctor fee too dear
No school in the hoods no playground like they should
A battlefield and it don't look good
Vision of peace seems out of reach
Only Jah can end the misery, woh yeah

Ghetto people song, only them can sing this one
It's a song for the poor who's facing sufferation
Ghetto people song, only them can sing this one
It's a song for the poor who's facing sufferation

Ghetto people, you try to reach the top
Whether you get the help from mister big or not, yeah
So it's a ghetto people song, only them can sing this one

Luciano - Over the Hills

Where must I find a place to live
in this jungle created by mankind?
Where will I lay my weary head,
tell me, how will I find a peace of mind?
Some say earth a run red
man and man must insure them head
But I feel like running instead
And find me a place I'll be free

I will take me over hills and the valleys, yes
I will find me a place, I'll be free
Yes I'll take me far away from the city
Mother Nature is calling me

So many years in starvation
and I can't find a thing to 'nyam'
sometimes I contemplate and wonder what is wrong
Though I drive so hard I just can't get along
Man to man is unjust and I don't know who to trust
Still I say living is a must
So I'll find me a place where I'll be free

Yes, I'll take me over hills and valley
Yes I'll find me a place I'll be free
Yes I'll take me far away from the city
Mother Nature is calling me

Doing my best to survive mankind
to liberate the captive mind
still they don't seem to hear my call
so I won't linger and perish with them all
Some say earth a run red
Man and man must insure them head
But I feel like running instead
And find me a place where I'll be free

Yes I'll take me over the hills and valley
Yes I'll find me a place I'll be free
I will take me far away from the city

Fred Locks - Black Star Liners

Dis one, a Rastaman anthem,
Me haffi lik it back again.
Dis song, a Rastaman anthem,
Go run along and tell your friend.

Seven miles of Black Star Liners coming in the harbour.
Yeah, seven miles of Black Star Liners coming in the harbour.
I can see them coming.
I can see I dreams running.
I can hear the Elders saying,
These are the days for which we've been praying.

Seven miles of Black Star Liners coming in the harbour.

Are coming one day for us.

Seven miles of Black Star Liners coming in the harbour.

Your soul I forever bless, this is it togetherness
Found it interest you that it going on forever yes
What's the marketing look at who they're targeting
I've been out there in the streets performing
We're obsess about the music and them warning
One day one day Babylon they will be falling
We've been enduring for a night but joy come in the morning
I buss the window find my curtains sun shining on
Birds in the garden children playin in the lawn
Love that's what we need stop all the war
Listen to the music as you go you gonna reach far
I know that you're a star

CHORUS
Thanks and praise to the creator
Above all things life is greater
Thanks and praise to the creator
And learn to respect Mother Nature
Thanks and praise to the creator
Above all things life is greater
Thanks and praise to the creator
Keep on playing the music operator

Done so much for you, respect of the ranks
There you go turning yuh back not even saying thanks
Brutish fool no they don't stand a chance
Don't forget where yuh comin from I only tell you once
Ignorance of the earth might cause your anxiety
Not for silver nor gold don't turn on humanity
All things shall fade as long as its vanity
No, I'm not telling you no profanity
Store up your riches in Zion
That way they just can't be rust or gather dust like no iron
Hail up the Conquering Lion, most high Jah
You're the only one we can rely on

CHORUS
Thanks and praise to the creator
Above all things life is greater
Thanks and praise to the creator
And learn to respect Mother Nature
Thanks and praise to the creator
Above all things life is greater

Save for a rainy day, it's just another day ah
Prepare for the day like no other day that's what I say

Etana - Wrong Address

[verse 1]
Tried to get a job today but
When dem see the application dem say
If this is really where you reside
Please step outside
She asked them why
And they replied...

[chorus]
We don't want no trouble
We don't want no trouble, no day
Cause lady where you come from
People die there everyday
For our safety that's where you should stay

[verse 2]
She traded in her three-piece for two
Everything and anything she wanted to do
Went back to her side of town
In bed she lay down
All she could hear was...

[chorus]
We don't want no trouble
We don't want no trouble, no day
Cause lady where you come from
People die there everyday
For our safety that's where you should stay

[bridge]
It's easier to give into the pressures of life
It's harder to get over when you try to do right
Just stay focused and keep your goals in site

[verse 3]
Been through school, passed every test
Graduated above the rest
And yet the society still looks down
They do this, why?
They don't want us to try
And so they'll reply...

[chorus]
We don't want no trouble
We don't want no trouble, no day
Cause lady where you come from
People die there everyday
For our safety that's where you should stay

[repeat chorus]
